THE TEA SOCIAL

Victorian Social

Partners:
You need not bring a partner to participate.

Dress:
You need not wear a costume to participate. Daywear of the Victorian era is welcome, as is other historical or fanciful dress. While there is no dress code, erring on the side of niceness will contribute to the charm of the afternoon. Please be sure to wear comfortable shoes. Both rubber-soled and high-heel shoes will impede your movement. We recommend you do not wear them.

Location & Parking:
Messiah Lutheran Church
Fellowship Hall
570 E Orange Grove Blvd
Pasadena, CA 91104

Located at the corner of Madison Avenue & Orange Grove Blvd. Ample free parking is available in the church lot off Madison and on neighboring streets.

No one makes any money from the social. All teaching, catering, and tech support is volunteer and monies raised pay for refreshments, rent, and insurance. We always appreciate anyone who lends a hand in any way.

A place to practice Victorian dance, enjoy a lovely tea time, and visit with friends!

The Victorian Tea & Dance Social is a series of monthly gatherings where lovers and admirers of Victorian-era dance can learn, practice, and socialize in a casual setting. Absolute beginners through advanced dancers are welcome.

Every month's Victorian Dance Social will feature instruction in the group and couples dances of the period. Recorded music will be supplied. During the interval, dancers are invited to partake of tea and comestibles while enjoying a brief talk on subjects of interest to the Victorian dancer.

Though it is not required, your RSVP helps us to plan the Social by knowing how many will be served during tea time.

We took a photo of some of our members who were in costumes the day of our Anniversary Social.
Though some of us enjoy wearing them, costumes are NOT required to attend our Social.
