Members of VTDS gathered for an afternoon of cheer at our festive Holiday Tea Dance Social. A lovely full tea was catered by our favorite tea hostesses Mary Llewellyn and Birgit Kiepinski. They delighted us with some historical Victorian holiday favorites!
In order to create more of a party atmosphere, this Social was filled with dancing! There was no particular emphasis on teaching, though all dances were called so everyone could join in. Many came dressed for the occasion and brought friends.
Besides all your favorite group dances, by special request we brought back our decorative "Yuletide Ribbon Dance" so all could "reel" in their favorite dance partners!
And in the spirit of "Christmas Presents," we unveiled the Charles Dickens Polka, played authentic 19th century parlour games, and one lucky guest won a special prize in our "penny cake" mystery!
